Starlink Restaurant Removal Procedures

Pre-requisites

·         The official Starlink app (available for Android or iOS)

·         Roof Access – This can be simple as climbing an existing ladder or it could be difficult to access the roof due to other circumstances (Mall site, shared roof with other businesses, etc.).

·         Empty Pelican case – This should be shipped to the site prior to your arrival. If it is not present, we do not want the Starlink unit shipped in other packaging. Instead, please reach out to your Chipotle contacts in Networking or on the Starlink team for assistance with getting a Pelican case on site.

This process should be straight forward. Some of the same equipment needed to install the unit may be needed to remove it as well:

·         Rope or other cordage. – This can be necessary to gain roof access or to lower the Starlink dish from the roof.

·         Drill/screwdriver – For unmounting the power supply from the wall

·         Sealant – In the event the cable for the Starlink was brought into the restaurant on the side, rather than a roof penetration, that entry point should be properly sealed after the cable is removed.

Removal

For the less common High Performance Model (with the tripod stand), The Starlink app must be used to return the dish to the proper position for storage before removal from the roof. This step is not required for the Flat High Performance kits (With the wedge mount).

Once all equipment has been removed, locate the empty Pelican case, and put all pieces of the equipment into the case, secured between the layers of foam. All equipment should include:

·         Power Supply

·         3 Cables (Dish to Power supply, Power supply to network, Power supply to Power)
